Fellows Training (Week Three)

Week 3: This week has been an interesting week.

This week we started assessing the teachers on their mock lessons and we covered all of them.

On Monday,  We went over the discussion on Observation and did a quick reflection on how they would share feedback with another teacher.

We completed the area on Lesson Planning and we asked them to complete a lesson plan and show it to us.

We also covered Classroom Management techniques, including those inspired by “Teach Like a Champion”

On Tuesday, We covered Strategies Behavior Management and a session on Stakeholder Management.

On Wednesday, Rajeeka covered the session on Differentiation & Special Needs Education, We then conducted a session on Building Relationships with Parents.

On Thursday, We went through a quick feedback session on their lesson plan and reflection, which is where we also delved into the Gibb’s reflection cycle.

We then looked at Brain Development and the strategies to use in Special Needs Education.

We also went into reviewing Lesson Planning and tailoring it to the lessons that they do.

We then covered Learning Styles.

During the last two hours of the session on Thursday, we organized for the teachers to go into CAL Classrooms to observe and teach.

Two of them also spent time with the parents and discussed with them.

A great day overall..

On Friday

We started of by going over their reflections and homework.

We covered Assessments and evaluations.

Where they made their own examinations as an exercise and linked it to their lesson plans.

We then did a peer feedback activity where they shared with one peer, one thing they should stop, one thing that they should start and one thing that they should continue and then they went back into the CAL Classrooms to teach.
