TFSL IS TACKLING THE CRISIS IN OUR CLASSROOMS.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
Barack Obama
We know our current education system fails on many levels. Decades of under-investment and political malfeasance has condemned Sri Lanka’s children to deteriorating facilities, outdated curriculum and an acute shortage of teachers in critical STEM subjects. We must find ways to do public education better.
Join us on this journey to transform our education.
Letter from the board
Hi – we need a leader.
Are you that ‘one in a million’ individual?
A dreamer, changemaker and hard-eyed realist who’s determined to make the world a better place?
You may be the next CEO of Teach First Sri Lanka!
On behalf of TFSL’s Board of Directors, I invite you to participate in the search for the most important human being I haven’t met yet – the visionary leader who’s going to change the lives of millions of Sri Lankan children.
WE ARE LOCALLY ROOTED, BUT GLOBALLY INFORMED
Our approach draws on global best practices tailored to address the specific needs of under-resourced schools in Sri Lanka. Working with local parents, educators and school leaders to implement modern, holistic education approaches will positively impact thousands of children’s lives — inside and outside the classroom.
Our goal is not only to educate the young but empowering them to become leaders who can have a positive impact on their communities. Education is a powerful tool for social change – by investing in our young people, we can create a brighter future for all.
WHEN PEOPLE HELP PEOPLE, CHANGE HAPPENS
THERE’S MORE THAN ONE WAY THAT YOU CAN HELP US GIVE THE CHILDREN OF SRI LANKA THE EDUCATION THEY NEED.
You can donate your time and knowledge as a Fellow, financially support a child’s education or TFSL projects, or partner your organisation with TFSL to share your support and expertise.
Subscribe to the TFSL Newsletter to stay updated on our projects.
